It feels that we are now fully settled back into school life, our summer breaks distant memories and autumnal colours beginning to develop. Our Continuous Professional and Leadership Development offer is now in full swing and our School Improvement Team have designed a programme which will enable us as educational professionals who are committed to maximising outcomes for young people to "be the change that we wish to see in the world".
We are witnessing staff working together, offering support and learning from each other; this is one of the most important elements of belonging to a trust and one which is developing at a fast pace within Learning Partners. Staff are actively making those changes to make the world a better place for all.
The first network meetings of the academic year have started to take place for support, operations and teaching staff and our first TA training session took place today led by Trust Inclusion Lead Olivia Wernick. This involved two hours of getting into the real nitty gritty of the role of a Teaching Assistant such as minimising behavioural challenges, working alongside teachers effectively and the SEND Code of Practice. Other TA courses are taking place, take a look in the CPLD brochure further down to see what the team are offering and to sign up. We value all members of staff and what they do and love to see that personal drive to make a difference.
Rachel Hughlock spent the day yesterday with our Primary Subject Leaders supporting their preparation for deep-dives, sharing strategies to use during a deep-dive process, practising answers to questions, developing systems and looking to understand what requires development in their curriculum area.
A huge amount of work is taking place in our schools where our staff and young people are given opportunities and experiences which make a difference to their lives.
